Starting June 9th | Mapleton, Utah
There comes a point in your dancing where something shifts.
You’re no longer just trying to learn the steps.
You’ve taken classes. You’ve shown up. You’ve put in the time.
And yet…
Something still feels just a little off.
You can do the patterns.
You can follow along.
You can keep up in class.
But when you step onto the social floor, it doesn’t quite feel the way you hoped it would.
You find yourself thinking:
Why does it feel rushed?
Why don’t I feel as connected as I want to?
Why does it feel harder than it should?
If you’ve felt this, I want you to know… you’re not doing anything wrong.
You’re just ready for something different.
When More Isn’t the Answer Anymore in your West Coast Swing
In the beginning of your West Coast Swing journey, learning more is exciting.
New patterns feel fun.
New movements feel like progress.
And they are.
But there comes a point where adding more doesn’t actually create the shift you’re looking for.
Because what you’re really craving isn’t more.
Its depth.
It’s feeling grounded in your body.
It’s understanding how connection actually works.
It’s being able to relax into the music instead of thinking through every step.
This is where your dancing begins to transform.
And this is exactly why I created Move with Meaning: Refinement Sessions.
If You’re Just Starting, Begin Here
Before I go deeper into this, I want to guide you in a way that truly supports you.
If you are brand new to West Coast Swing, or feel like you still need to build your foundation, I invite you to start with:
Move with Meaning Level 1
Tuesdays from 7:00–8:00 PM
This class is designed to help you:
learn the basics step by step
feel supported in a small group setting
build confidence in your movement
And then, when you’re ready to deepen how your dancing feels, you can step right into the Refinement Sessions after.
Coming Back to What Matters Most
These sessions come back to three of the most important movements in West Coast Swing:
Push. Pass. Whip.
Simple.
But not easy.
Because inside these movements is everything.
Your timing.
Your connection.
Your ability to stay present.
Your ability to listen and respond.
Your ability to trust your body.
So often, we move past these too quickly.
We learn them… but we don’t fully understand them.
And that’s where the disconnect starts to happen.
What Happens When You Slow Down
There is something powerful that happens when you stop trying to rush your dancing.
When you allow yourself to stay in a moment just a little longer.
When you start to notice:
how your weight shifts
how your partner responds
where you might be holding tension
where you can soften
At first, this can feel uncomfortable.
Because we’re so used to doing more.
But as you stay with it, something begins to open.
Your dancing starts to feel more natural.
More connected.
More like a conversation.
And that’s where the magic is.
A Space That Feels Different
One of the most intentional parts of these sessions is the size.
Limited to 10 dancers.
Not because I want to keep it small, just to keep it small.
But because I want to create a space where:
you feel seen
you feel supported
you have space to explore
you can ask questions without hesitation
So many people, especially women, in the seasons of life where they are giving so much to others, are craving a space where they can simply be.
Where they don’t have to perform.
Where they don’t have to keep up.
Where they can just come as they are.
This is that space.
Open to All Levels, Because Your Journey Is Your Own
I truly believe that growth doesn’t happen in a box.
These sessions are open to all levels.
Whether you are newer or more experienced, refinement meets you exactly where you are.
If you are newer, you will begin to feel your foundation more deeply.
If you have been dancing for years, you will start to notice the subtle shifts that change everything.
What matters is not your level.
It’s your willingness to be present.
A Rhythm That Supports Real Growth
One of the things I love most about this structure is that it doesn’t keep you in the classroom.
Because dancing is meant to be experienced.
Tuesday Monthly Rhythm
Week 1 → PULSE
This is where we go out and dance. No pressure. No overthinking. Just connection, community, and allowing yourself to be in it.
Week 2 → Push
We focus on grounding, compression, and learning how to build upon it or Lego your patterns.
Week 3 → Pass
We explore transitions, stretch, shaping, and how your dancing travels and communicates.
Week 4 → Whip
We work with expansion, speed contrasts, control, and allowing your movement to open up.
This creates a natural cycle:
Learn.
Practice.
Experience.
Integrate.
And this is where real growth happens.
What a Session Feels Like
Each session is designed to help you land in your body first, then build from there.
Session Structure (1.5 Hour)
15 minutes: Grounding Practice
We begin with breathwork and simple awareness tools to help you slow down and be present.
30 minutes: Targeted Concept of the Week
We take the weekly concept and explore it deeply. Building your vocabulary each week.
15 minutes: Intentional Practice
Guided movement with purpose so you can begin to feel the difference.
30 minutes: Feedback & Social Dancing
You receive support, small adjustments, and space to integrate. and social dance with friends!
This Is More Than Learning to Dance
For me, dance has always been a place of connection.
A place where I connect with myself.
A place where I connect with others.
A place where I feel connected to God.
And through that connection, there is something deeply uplifting.
Not because everything is perfect.
But because you are present.
Because you are feeling.
Because you are alive in the moment.
This is what I want for you.
A Place to Come Back to Yourself
So many I work with are not just looking for a class.
They are looking for:
connection
joy
confidence
community
something that feels like theirs
Something that brings them back to themselves.
This is what these sessions are meant to offer.

Final Thought
You don’t need to become a different dancer.
You don’t need to push harder.
You don’t need to learn more.
You just need to experience what you already know… in a deeper way.
And when that happens…
Your dancing begins to feel like you again.
Live in Love, Move with Meaning. Play Passionately.
